The well is situated on one of the main streets in this village about a mile from Scotch Corner on the A1. There is a significant frontage to the well and when I have visited, water pours constantly down the road. I have been told that it always does so. The water is palatable but does seem to have a high nineral content. It is listed as a ‘Holy’ well in a long out of print book on holy wells of Wensleydale and Swaledale

I was not able to find this spring. Drove up and down the road, but couldn’t find anything. Also, poor phone signal in the village so hard to research whilst there. Any further guidance would be much appreciated.

It looks like they built a house on it , its probably in somebody’s living room ?
