Is this spring next to the road? Further route description would be much appreciated. Has the spring water been tested and is it of good quality?

  2. Rick says:

I live in Antwerp and would be also interested to know more about the quality and location of this spring.

    • Nico wouters says:

      Hi Rick and Coco,

About the quality: they tested it in 2009 and the results, you can see it when you are at the source. I’m drinking the water for a few days, so i cannot say a lot about it.
The location: when you are in the maurits noestraat you have on one side the forest and the other side the water. its on the side of the water that you have a small parking place where you can go to a chapel in the woods there, you go to the direction of the chapel and before you are at the chapel you can follow a path to the right, tis goes a little bit down in the forest, follow it and you wil see the source. good luck.

Hi all, I was at the spring this afternoon. Found it very easily, thanks to your directions. Much ppreciated. Water tasted great. It may be useful to explain to people, that you need to walk along a path in between two ponds to get to the source, as their is a parking lot beforehand where you have on one side the pond and on the other side some shops, and this path is by the second parking area. Just wanted to ask, that at the source, there is a metal pipe that spills out the water, where does the pipe come from? And where does it join to?

        • Nico wouters says:

Hi Sheldon, indeed its better to say its between the ponds, but new people can read both descriptions 🙂 i also wondered about the pipe and also if the pipe give off some metals in the water. i also wonder why its so long ago that they tested the quality of the water. but im planning to go there again and go to a place where they can test the water.

I visited the spring today, was lovely…I did get a bit lost on the way there, but I found it none the less. We also went for a walk in the forest after we gathered our water. You can see photos and more at this link http://featheredlove.com/2011/01/its-getting-better-all-the-time/
the ph of the water is 6.89…

Does anyone know of any other springs in Belgium, there have to be more…right

  4. Jennifer says:
