Description

Spring at left side of road. Within a few yard of where Kault Hill Rd and Bolton Rd intersect. The source of the pipe is a short distance above the road. There was a makeshift filter on the top end of the pipe, which sits in the middle of the running water. (I did not follow the spring any higher to find it’s source point.) (This is from memory, so it may have changed since then.)

I just came back from this “spring”, it’s surrounded by beer cans and other garbage, I followed it up the hill and there are man made dams, rusty wires and cans, buckets. I hiked far up into the mountain and sadly i couldn’t find the source. I wonder if this is just a creek that flows down. I would not recommend people to drink this water at the source described for the above reasons. I did find several medicinal mushrooms on the birch trees up the hill..great hike, but i was sad to come back home without any spring water 🙁

I found this spot as well. I hiked up the hill a little and it does look like a creek from what I saw. I wasn’t able to find the source either. Someone has built a catchment that goes through a hose before it hits the road. The water tastes lovely but I have not had it tested. The land was clean except for the extra hose that was left close by.

Today I checked this spring out and found it easily enough. There is one thicker pipe that is constantly flowing out with water, and one smaller pipe that is flowing out with water even faster. I tasted the water and it tasted great. I filled up 6 gallons worth only to realize later there were quite a lot of small visible particles/silt looking stuff floating in the water. Based off of previous comments here and my own experience I’m not sure about the quality of this water and won’t be drinking the water I collected earlier today, much to my dismay!

Yes, there are natural particles in this water from the short trip down from the spring. This is great water and I know many people who have drank it for years upon years. We have been drinking this water for 3 years now. You just have to run it through organic cheesecloth or allow it to settle and pour off the top. Perhaps some people may be turned off…..but its better than the tap!!!!

Also, I’ve never seen any garbage at this location in the 3 years I’ve frequented the spring.

We found the spring easily and luckily enough, a local stopped by to pickup some water for himself. He said that the water is fine depending on the time of year. There were some particles in the water but it mostly looked like dirt and wood. It tasted good and I’m still alive and kicking!
