The history of the BC springs dates back to Salish Coast Indians that used it for it’s natural healing effects. When it came to medicines, they thought the hot springs brought the rejuvenating effects the sick needed and often it would work for minor colds. These days the pools are still used by thousands of people for the healing minerals effects and even famous people like Liam Neeson enjoy coming to BC for resorts like these.

Harrison Hot Springs Resort and spa in BC has five hot springs for you to enjoy. Each one has it’s own unique qualities and they do a great job at keeping them at different temperatures so you can find the one most suitable for you. There are great sections for families to play in, more secluded spots for some peace and quite, and even ones in between where you can socialize with other tourists and locals. For those staying at the resort and hotel, you’ll have complimentary access to all 5 hot springs and even tea service every day.

Indoor Pool

Within the spa resort is the Harrison indoor pool. Many people prefer relaxing in it after a relaxing and luxury day of pampering at one of the hotels many treatment amenities.

For those colder winter nights, many enjoy coming into the hotel to enjoy a nice relaxing and rejuvenation soak in the natural thermal pool. As the steam rises it gives the feel of being outdoors along with the 30 foot ceilings and waterfall that gives the soothing effects you’re looking for.

Family Public Pool

Probably the most popular hot spring at Harrison, the large pool provide tourists and locals from Canada the chance to enjoy over 4,000 square feet of healing waters. There are waterfalls and scenic vegetation all around the pools making it a peaceful place to relax and unwind.

Lap Pool

You don’t have to just soak in the hot springs at this paradise resort and hotel. They do also offer a lap pool for those who want to get some exercise in. While you swim in the public pool you will also be amazed by the surround landscape and wildlife.

Adult Hot Pool

Sometimes it’s good to get away from the kids for a bit and have your own mini vacation. Harrison Hot Springs does provide just an adult only pool where you can relax the night away as the other families splash around in the public area.

Harrison Hot Springs Spa

Many people travel from all over the world as well as locally from Toronto and Vancouver to enjoy the luxury spa treatments Harrison resort and hotel provides. As you enter the facility you will be treated like royalty as you feel the tension release from your body. Obviously the natural mineral waters give way to healing effects, but the other stress relieving options the spa offers will take it to the next level.

Outside of some of the more common spa amenities such as private massages, you can also enjoy body wraps, manicures and pedicures, waxing treatments, and natural beauty options. The lists are almost endless and will make you feel reborn again.

Harrison Hot Springs Water Park

Another great highlight of British Columbia’s hot springs in Harrison is it’s famous water park. During the summer months, families flock to the lake to enjoy boating, jet skiing, fishing, the sandy beaches, and their amazing inflatable water park.

Only feet away from the resort and hotel is this giant lake playground that can be enjoyed by both kids and adults. The massive area has rafts, swings, slides, teeter-totters, and apparatuses that look like a jungle gym. For those more adventurous they have a giant inflated structure at the water park that allows one to send a friend soaring into the air only to land awkwardly into the water. These amusements bring joy to every tourist and traveler in the area and can provide hours of fun.

Harrison Water Park does require life jackets due to the crowds and minor dangers that are involved with all the high jumps available. For families it’s good to know that your children must be at least 6 years old to enjoy the water park and anyone in between 6-10 have to be supervised at all times. There are also lifeguards on duty during opening hours to enjoy everyone has a safe and fun time.

Harrison Hot Springs Camping

While you enjoy the park and all it’s amenities, there are some great camping areas for a peaceful night under the stars. There are also RV parks and campgrounds for those traveling from Toronto or Vancouver (only a 90 minute drive) with hookups and pull throughs. Local travelers enjoy the scenic drive where it ends between Black Tusk and Fraser Mountain. The views are quite mesmerizing and in winter the snow caps make it even better.

For more adventurous camping, there are beach lines and secluded forest areas where you and friends and family can set up tents with fire pits to carry you long into the night. There are endless hiking trails all throughout the area from short hour long walks to day hikes that have you reach peaks. If you do plan on flying into Vancouver or Toronto, it’s worth while renting a car and go explore British Columbia while you make your way to the hot springs.

If camping isn’t your thing there are also cabins for you to rent out for the night. These are also in pretty secluded areas so you can feel like you are one with nature and not have to worry about waking up next to other people. Go online and you can find many sites that have cabins for rent with different amenities and accommodations for each.
