It flows year round and is fresh spring water, filtered through the sedimentary layers and doesn’t need to be boiled, tastes better than most bottled spring water.

Does anyone have more info on this one? The location of it skeezes me out. The wastewater treatment plant being right there and the refineries are super close as well. Thanks!

I’ve been going to Goldbar Spring for years.
The pin shown on the map is definately in the wrong location.
The address matches neither the location of the pin nor of the spring

Can or Will you give me better directions or are you keeping it a secret? I wonder…
I found a spring in Ontario–locals were quite helpful. I wonder if you will be helpful.

I have also located this spring. Although the set up has been slightly altered, it still delivers fresh cold water … around 8 L / minute. Although it tastes great, I am still going to get it tested and will post the results. It is after all a public good. So please treat it as such.

The pin on the map for this spring just marks the entrance to Goldbar Park, the actual spring is about a kilometer away, in the woods on the bank of the ravine. You can find it using this website:

I managed to find the spring and it’s away from the wastewater treatment plant. It’s also situated on a hill. The water’s good, although it has a stronger taste of hard water. Anyone who is used to soft water, and not used to hard water/well water, might experience a slight discomfort in the belly at first. I prefer the other springs, but this is local and convenient…and surprisingly there’s less trash in the area than out in the countryside.

I took a sample from this spring on January 7, 2017 and had it tested at Culligan. The TDS was 840 ppm with a water hardness of 40. Was advised not to drink it. ????

  11. Leanne Frank says:

So why would you not post my comment about the results of this spring? People are asking. The public needs to know that they should not drink this water. I had Culligan test it as I wanted to know as well. Does one have to post a sign right at the spring saying that Find a Spring is a dick site and will not allow you to post the results? That’s why there is never any information about it. People need to know, not all spring water is drinkable. I’ve been collecting spring water for 3.5 years and I love it. So what gives??
