We like to call this Mint Springs, if you look around there’s wild mint as well as a couple varieties of domestic mint growing feral around the spring.

Silverton is not the closest town. It’s between Rosebery and Hills (a little farther north from New Denver).

If you are heading North on Hwy 6,the spring will be on your right, or on your left if you are heading South. Look for a metal pipe sticking out of the rock, as you are going around a corner. There is a concrete barrier on the opposite side of the road, and a small paved shoulder area that you can pull off.

It can be a little dangerous, as the spring is right as the edge of the road and on a corner, and you have to cross the road to fill up. Keep a close eye for people speeding around the corner!

The spring flows all year round.

I stopped at this spring twice in the past 2 weeks and it was *great* water. The pullout can be a little sketchy but should be fine as long as you’re aware. Highly recommend this spring!
