Quarter mile past of county line on south side of GA #140.

Pull offs on both sides of the road, but be VERY careful, people commute this road and go very fast.

Fills about 1 gallon per minute.

My mom and I would go here with my granny when I was a child and would fill up her gallon jugs with this elixer of God. So cold even in July. My granny swore by it! Is a stainless steel pipe stuck in the rock. Fresh stuff. Small pull off available to park. Be careful crossing Hwy 20.

I forgot to mention that the google map pin is not in the correct location. Just go west on 140 from Canton . As stated it is 1/4 mile on before the Bartow Co. line. If you are coming from Bartow of course it is 1/4 mile after entering Cherokee Co.

Hello all. Just went to find this spring today. It was actually 3/4 of a mile before the Bartow line (just FYI) for anyone looking and its no longer a SS pipe but they change it out to a roughly 4 foot PVC pipe but it only runs though that for a moment. But, the water is crisp, cool and tastes amazing! Theres a little bench right by the pipe, too. Thanks for the info, Scott. : )

  2. Josh Mcsweeney says:

    Hey Scott!
I was hoping to get some fresh water this weekend.
I am trying to map out the directions for Marietta and I am having some trouble.

I can see where 140 and highway 20 interest. Is that close?

I will bring my camera and try and put up some pictures.

    Hello Spring Water Seekers,
Found the spring 7 tenths of a mile from Bartow Co line. Water was great & had a crisp clean taste. Takes several minutes to fill a 5 gallon container. Meet a very healthy 60+ man there that had been drinking the water all his life. Enjoy!

  4. Jerrell says:

I located this spring today and love it! The water was clean and it is in a really peaceful setting. It’s a great watering hole.

  5. Bremen James says:

I have been here three times already and it is my favorite place to collect so far. Be careful as people can go very fast here. I leave my hazard lights on and only pull over on the side of the road with the spring.

  6. Liisa says:

Any other springs in atlanta, east side? I am in lawrenceville and I was hoping to find one closer by..

  7. Holly says:

Would like to know if there are an springs being sought on the east side of Atlanta -Jefferson County, Gwinnett County? How can people start their own hunt :)? for spring water?

  8. Julio says:

I went to the spring and the water is great I’ve been drinking it for about a week. The exact coordinates are 34.344190,-84.638255 you can plug them right in to google maps and you will land in the little parking area across the street from the spring.

  9. Damian Q. Laster says:

I am so thankful and excited to learn of this spring. I’ve relocated to Douglasville, and I think this is the closest to me. I had grown attached to the one in Marion, AL, where I drove from Birmingham for about two years. Drinking bottled water isn’t quite the same.

  10. Connie says:

I went to the spring today and Julio was spot on, pull over on the right using his coordinates ( 34.344190,-84.638255) and the spring is just behind you about 50 feet. I have had 8 sips and it is delicious, very much a filtered spring. Cool but not icy!

  11. Brian Root says:

The Amazing water flows out at less than a gallon per minute, or five gallons in six and a half minutes.
My TDS Meter reads 40 ppm at 60 degrees, on 11/5/19.
    My Spring coordinates are 34.3442627, -84.6384174 .
Any Eco-Warriors that want to help clean up, there is lots of trash (tires, blankets, containers) on the North side Hill, opposite side of Hwy. 140 (Reinhardt College Parkway) from the Spring, going down to the Beautiful Creek. The trash makes for an unpleasant hike down.

  12. Yen says:

Has anyone tested the water to see if it’s safe to drink?
