great water, but make sure to do your stretches before filling up. this one’s low to the ground, definitely a squatter!
The map tag says “Clear Spring”, it should be “Cold Spring”
As of 21Dec2013 (at least), this spring is not running. I was getting my water from this source regularly. My last trip was the beginning part of Dec. Had typical flow then.
And, as noted already, it is Cold Spring, not Clear Spring.
I just visited this spring yesterday and it is running beautifully. Did not have my TDS meter unfortunately, but it tastes sweet and good!

Hi went to the spring yesterday, loooks like it is closed (( hopefully temporarily )), there was a type of rod in the pump so it was not moving, and there was no water around the pump on the ground. I could of just not known how to correctly use the pump?? Or maybe it is indeed closed… Will check back another time.
Stopped by today and the pump is shut down. Went to the ranger station and they said they shut it down because people were trashing the area. Can they even shut down a spring?
Hello! Does anyone know the status of this spring as of June 2017? The last couple posts indicated that it was not running or somehow shut down. Thank you!
Hey does anyone know if the spring is back open yet?
This spring is easily accessible and running strong
Today we found the spring running a little, but it needs to be piped or something to be able to catch the water. I wish we had some pipe with us but alas we are just passing through. The water looked beautiful and I hope folks can get it accessible again soon! 🙂
