Part of a large series of springs that form the head of Token Creek.  Numerous higher volume springs form a rather large creek that flows to Lake Mendota.  The area was recently turned into a public park.  Some springs boil from under the water surface of the ponds but several come directly out of a rocky embankment.

What’s the best way to test this water and make sure it’s safe for drinking? I need something relatively inexpensive (I won’t be able to spring for lab testing), but it’s the closest location to my apartment.

Are there springs around the Madison area that people can get water from easily? I really miss my spring in Bay View, WI. Thanks.
