a very good spring, I have been drinking much of my water from here for months now.
Is there a landmark or is the spring somehow indicated by a sign? Will I be able to find it in the snow?
Thank you
This is a neat little spring on the side of the road that comes up pretty fast if you don’t pay attention. It does have a little parking spot, apart from the shoulder, which was nice. While we were there filling up, an old lady pulled up with 5 gallon jugs and she looked like a local, so that affirmed the quality of the water for me. The water tasted good, although the flow was very weak as of August 20, 2011. Took more than a minute to fill up a 1 gallon jug. I’ve been at springs where a 1-gallon jug filled up in less than 10 seconds. Anyway, good spring overall. I have pics and a video, but don’t know how to post.
Also, the closest address on here needs to be updated to 8469 Main St. Port, Byron, NY.
Does anyone know if this water has been reliably tested recently and, if so, what the results were?
pH as of July 5, 2012 is 7.4
This is great tasking water but right now it is barely trickeling
I’m trying to locate it on Google maps but it’s not coming up with the same area that is on this map… How do you know when you’ve found the right place?
Anyone know if this spring is flowing?
Just went to this spring today and the water smelled very foul, like dead animal or raw sewage. Hoping the locals can figure out what’s going on (I was told there was indeed a dead animal in the pipe once)?
Also the flow was very weak (took about 10 min to fill a 5 gallon bucket) and the water was not as cold as it normally is….I’m definitely concerned!
