This is a piped free-flowing mountain spring, that has been used by generations of people.  It has a fast flow, perhaps 2-4 gal per minute.

Located on Dry Run Road just off of Route 7 outside of Morgantown. Wonderful spring with plenty of parking. Metal pipe protruding from a large concrete enclosure
Directions:  From I-68, take the Rt 7 East Exit.  Drive about 8 miles past Brookhaven, Richard, Dellslow, and Greer. Pass Greer Limestone Quarry (both sides of road). Take next LEFT, onto Dry Run Road, a dirt road.  Go about 1/4-1/2 mile. On the RIGHT is a rather large pull-off for 5-6 cars, and the spring / spring pipe is up against the mountain.
  1. George says:

Visited 7/17/16, spring was easy to locate using the directions given in the details section. Water was very fast flowing and tasted crisp, pure, and delicious. TDS reading was 032. It was difficult to fit my 5 gallon jugs under the spout due to the height so a hose fitting may be necessary if filling up larger receptacles.

Visited 5/15/2017. The feedback above is very accurate.

  3. Aurora says:

Visited this spring for the first time today. The water was still flowing even in the cold. It is so fresh and crisp and silky! Will definitely be returning for more. ** I brought 1 gallon jugs and had to tell them on their side in order to catch the water because the spout is very low to the ground.

  4. Ben says:

Visited 2/9/18….easy to get to. There were actually 2 other groups when I was there!

  5. kelly says:

Decent, fast-flowing water, but the dirt road it is on is more potholes than road. Be careful. And, it’s a little isolated.

  6. Steven Spiker says:

I see that they are timber cutting it I hope it doesn’t affect the spring any
I get my drinking water from there
I would also like to ask about cutting the tops of the trees they have timber for firewood
Can I get permission for this?

  7. Robert says:
