They have diverted it to a swimming pool. It is open on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays. They close MOnday and drain and clean the pool for reopening on Thursday. The water is 68 degrees but great.

****Note from Admin****  Can someone in the comments section of this post verify whether this is a swimming hole or for drinking?  Thank you 🙂

Yes, this is definitely a swim spot. From what the keepers explained to me thought, you’re only allowed in the pool area (when open) and its freezing cold. Theres am adjacent building thats neat to look at with some cute history about it. And theres a golf course behind. Theres a very small playground for kids 200 feet away, and a larger park 1/4 mile up the street. Hope that helps!

I wouldn’t drink directly from this spring unless it’s good for you to have lots of sulfur. you can smell it.

  3. Kristy says:

The lifeguards drink it all day long. They just don’t want people to go down in the well head but they will fill your bottles for you right at the source if you ask. Wish I could stock pile some for the winter when they are closed. I noticed a difference in how I felt after one bottle. The strong sulfur smell comes from the one next to it that is no longer in use and just flows directly in the creek.
