   The hot spring water at Hot Springs National Park becomes heated at a depth of approximately one mile before beginning the journey back to the surface through a fault. The water was tested to be 5,000 years old. You can read more about water from the town of Hot Springs, AR here.

   I moved to NW Arkansas around a year ago and I have found more springs than I could ever imagine!!! Thanks for the up load Don and Linzi together we can expand the awareness of the “Natural State!!!”

   we went at night and tried to find some of the natural springs, and finally just gathered water from the spring on the main road there near the university. there are like 7 or 8 spigots in one spot that disperse very hot water (they are near some fountains, right on the side of a downtown road in hot springs, if you go to convention blvd you can find it near there), i got in my bathing suit and splashed it all over me, felt great for a traveler! free hot mineral spring water for all!
