when I put this Address…711 mini mart pops up on my GPS

  2. QB84 says:

It’s located in Schiller Park, not Chicago.

  3. Samantha says:

Is that West Schiller Park? There’s an East and South Schiller Park option in my GPS.

  4. Taylor says:

Does this cost anything? Are there any restrictions? I am attempting to look it up but would love to hear from people actually getting water from this source. Thank you in advance!

is it free to the public

I wentfor a jog in the woods a few years ago and came across a pump. Therefore this 2nd location is not an error or a duplicate. There actually is another pump in the woods. I just can’t recall if it’s easily accessible by car,

Great tasting water. I’ve seen families for years and years lining up to get water from this pump. I finally made it a point to try it, and it goes down real smooth and cold. I’ve researched online a bit, and it appears to be safe. No cost, and parking is available directly in the front of the pump on Irving Park Road.
The pump is actually just west of the Model Airplane field, which is also just west of Cumberland Road, on Irving Park Road, on the south side of Irving Park Road.

I’m little confused. The pump I know is sout of Irving park rd. This mark here is more north and west of the other one,but there is no info about it. Is it pump,or else,is it save,is it the same water like the first pump.?

I thought this was the Des Plaines RIver. Is this a spring? By the way, I’ve seen owls there 🙂

  9. CeeCee says:

Is this a verified Spring? Isn’t there a concern of local pesticide, fertilizer, etc pollutants?

  10. Kate says:

Went there today 7/9/2017 and found the pump is placed out of order from the Forest Preserve Department of Cook County. Please update if you do go there and it is up and running!

  11. Pete says:

I stopped by and filled up a few glass jars of water! Wow! it tastes great! I can assure you this ISN’T Chicago water. ( Born and raised in Chicago. ) I go late night – no lines. Yes, it’s free. I also hear that the pump located across the street on the north side of Irving Pk. is an even a deeper well. This one is 87 ft. deep. I’ll stick with this one though, it tastes great! It’s just a few steps from Irving Pk. RD.

How long does water last that I collect from a spring. If I use a plastic gallon jug, what type of plastic is recommended?
