Roaring River Spring in southwestern Missouri emerges from the base of a limestone cliff with an average daily flow of 26 million gallons. There is a smaller spring at the top of the cliff that creates a waterfall that splashes in the main pool, the pool is small (about 10 ft. across) but has a cavern below it that has been explored to a depth of 223 feet. The cavern follows a fault line hollowed out by the action of moving groundwater.
