Can anyone please elaborate on the location and directions to this spring? I live near by and have not been able to locate it. Would be a great help, thank you!!!

      Hi Cindy,
I go to this spring. I’ll clock the miles coming down 940 from shop rite so you can see exactly where it is. I see this message is from 2014 but maybe you will get an email update. I’ll do that in the next day or two.

Directions are on this web page.but it you want to know it’s a,1/2 mile down from shoprite in Mount Pocono on Rte. 940 going down the first curve in the road, there’s also a red pole marker for drop off shoulder on your right side,it’s lower then the road so you can’t see it easily.

I would like directions to this spring too. Thanks:)

  3. Lora says:

Hi, can i have directions too please? And i was wondering if it was safe enough to bring the kids with?

  4. FYI: Forget Spring water and go for bottled water. Tobyhanna Army Depot is a few miles higher north of this spring and is on the Super Fund chemical cleanup site…. DO NOT DRINK THAT SPRING WATER!

I’m going to get it tested before i drink the water,i also noticed a DEAD DEER up anout 40 feet right above the pipe that the water comes out of.

I filled up a bunch of containers yesterday. Water tastes excellent. The spring is located down from Shop Rite about a quarter mile on the right side. It’s right next to a red pole. There is a second red pole past it about 20 yards. There’s a nice storm grate to stand on while filling up. Definitely recommended.

Ok so I’m the guy who put up the pictures in the snow. I’ve used this location a few times and won’t be using it again. There was an algae like growth that formed in my containers using water from this spot. It was bad. The water became very smelly and this dark substance formed inside the containers with the water.

Go to one of the hand pumps at the campground at Hickory Run state park if you want the best water around. There are 2 hand pumps at the outside campground on the street named Gamewire Circle. It’s the best water I’ve ever tasted and it’s fresh.
