This Spring is towards the back of the fence, there is a pipe, you stand on pallets and fill small bottles easily, you can fill 5 gallon bottles but the bottles have to be submerged half way in order to fill it underneath the spout.

I’m told that the town does test it, also I’ve met people going here for decades.

The temperature of the water is very cold which is good, sometimes it varies  in flow.

I just been introduced to the spring and have yet to test it, but have family members using it for a few years now.

People who go the try to make an effort to keep things clean, but there are people who are dumping unfortunately.

IF someone wanted to contribute to getting this tested, I am interested & willing to help. Or if the town truly has tested it I would appreciate more information on that.

    Find me on FaceBook.

  2. Steve Sevek says:

P40 spring on PA 940 in Hazle Township has been closed by Hazleton City Authority.
I have no further information but a sign is posted and access has been blocked. The opening has been sealed.

  3. Brian says:

I don’t know, that is like, right next to a coal plant or something.

  4. Rick P says:

The last time I went to the spring there was a pile of dirt covering the pipe access from spring and official notices not to trespass with a 1 million dollar fine. The overflow from the pond is still running. No one seemed to know why it was shut down.
