Spring water is directed from the east via a PVC pipe from the pine tree covered hill over the road drainage ditch to a cement holding tank. Tank, dated 1981, is covered with a green painted plywood cover. Steel pipe extends from the south side of the tank. Slate rocks below the pipe – perfect height to set a 4-5 gallon carboy to fill. Flow is continuous, approximately 1 gallon/minute. Sign states “State of Vermont cannot guarantee the quality of water.” additional homemade sign states “HELP keep this area clean.”

On the East Side of Route 12, in the woods just north of the junction of Route 12, W. Brookfield Road and Lower Maloney Road. There is a pull off, look for a cement holding tank with a green cover.

    This spring is not always available in winter. Unfortunately, this spring gets covered with snow and ice pushed to the side by the snow plow during the winter, so it may be unavailable or may need shoveling to reach the outlet during the winter months.
