I am a local, home-town N.J. resident. And to whomever originally posted info about this spring, I would like to know how the area looks in term of snow coverage/ice? So I may take a day trip to collect some blessed, cosmic-crystalline water.

    • Dr O says:

The area is always a bit soggy, and definitely snow is NOT removed in winter.
      Spring runs year round.

    • rick says:

where do i find it….is it off the road or a hike off a trail?

      • Conrad says:

My first visit was today 3/25/11 I took 3 gallons test the PH at around 6.3

“It is at the entrance to the South Mountain reservation at Glen Ave &
Lackawanna Pl in Millburn. After you park in the parking lot follow the path
to the right towards the picnic tables. As you walk up the hill of the path,
you will see the spring to the left behind a wire fence. There is a sign
that says the water is not fit for human consumption and was tested to have
e coli. I have been drinking from it for months now without problem. Drink
        at your own risk. 😉 Peace… ”
        Conrad, Peace and all good

  2. Dr O says:

A few years back we held a major blessing ceremony at Locust Grove with a high Buddhist lama who is also a Tibetan physician.
It is surely a blessed place 🙂

  3. Conrad says:

I have been drinking water that I harvested on 3/25. I have developed a rash can I be allergic to something in this water?

    • Gary says:

Yeah I just posted above. I tested the water. Its fine but the total dissolved solids is somewhat high. Everybodys different. You might be allergic to a specific mineral in the water, or I would recommend drinking minute amounts :))

  4. Gary says:

    Aug. 7, 2011  Ph. 7.56 – Tds. 268

    • FWOOD says:

Since the tds is a lil high. I would consider it a mineral water. So maybe it shouldn’t be consumed 24/7 all day long. It’s more of a therapeutic drink 🙂

  5. Anthony says:

was there today 11/3/2011 and there was a new sign stating that the water has no E.Coli which is what the previous sign from 2009 had stated. i have pics of the sign that has the lab info which did the test. i will inquire myself about more results and post them as i get them. I trust it and will try the water that i got and post back if any after effects 🙂 Im pretty confident that there wont be any. I just realized that the lab result photo had the lab info cut off. Sorry. im sure i will visit soon as i live 20 min. away. If anyone has more info please share so i can have a piece of mind.

HI there! So happy to have found this so close to home! Has anyone been there recently? Thinking of taking a drive and filling some bottles this weekend! My dad in Italy used to do this all the time they would never drink the water from the tap. I saw what is in our plumbing pipes and it is not good!

  7. Eva says:

Hi, has anyone been here recently? Tested recently? Im in town for a month and could use some good water! Thanks

  8. Dr Karlosi says:

Several months ago (October 2015) I bottled a half dozen 5 gallon containers and stored them until they were ready for my testing with a water test kit.
In a nutshell, the water is perfectly safe for human consumption. Water tested negative for any bacteria.
Water was also tested for lead and pesticides—negative for both. Nitrate test shows no signs of Nitrates or Nitrites. PH level is10. Hardness is about 250 ppm. Chlorine is 0. Enjoy.

    • Zarad says:

Thank you so much for the test results Dr. Karlosi, it’s given me a comfort, and I’d much rather have natural spring water. I just learned the stream was there and I pass it 2-3 times a week, often to go buy water. As soon as the snow melts I’m filling my bottles. Hoping nothing has changed. :-/
      Again, thank you!

      • Z says:

Hi ZARAD did you by to check on the spring?
Or has anyone else gone to the spring lately?

I’m an new to the knowledge of spring water and would like to have more information. Thank you!

        • Alban says:

Just recently went to the spring it still has signs of being contamited with E. coli but it was tested 2011 but the dr who commented on here said it was clear of all bacteria which he tested in 2015 so I’ll go with results

        • Zarad says:

Tried, but couldn’t find it. ????

    • Andrew says:

Has the water been tested recently?

    • Andrea Smith says:

Thank you, I live in Millburn and we went to this well since I can remember. I moved back and it has been fenced. Thank you I will find my way up to my old stomping grounds feeling good.
