Springside Spring, Poughkeepsie, NY



Next to a large sycamore tree, under a small spring house. The spring house has a marble statue of a woman on top. You will need to a ladle or a cup to reach into the spring house.

The spring was used on the Vassar estate to feed large fountains. The walking trails have a guided tour map that shows you ruins and tells you about the history of the spring. Originally the statue on the spring house was a dog.

  1. This is a VERY hard water, according to both Daniel and David Wolfe. Probably very good for bathing, doing dishes, laundry, etc….. but I would be very careful to read what David Wolfe says about hard water causing calcification and arthritis before consuming this water.

  2. Maybe, if your drinking it for a long period of time. Daniel talks about this in his videos. It's much better than drinking Poughkeepsie water, I know that for sure. I drank it for a couple weeks when we couldn't get to the St. Cabrini spring. It was good to me!

    1. yes scott. the regulated TDS fit for consumption is 0-500 so 700 would be high. Depending on what Solids are in it would change the nutritional value. For example, if it is high in chlorine it would not be good but if it was high in magnesium it would be ok So the TDS needs to be tested for the actual solids.
