Description:

Fresh water spring comes off the hillside out of a continuous faucet year around.

Very cold but doesn’t freeze shut in winter.

“Very popular with local folks. We’ve been using it as our drinking water source for about 10 years. We haul it. Many people around here do that, it is so tasty and fresh.” – Linda Phillippi

There should not be a period after the word freeze. It should read: very cold but doesn’t freeze shut in winter. It keeps flowing.

What are the driving conditions like in winter for someone coming from Missoula?  I would like to collect spring water year round but have concerns as to the road conditions and access.  Any input would be appreciated!

Like anywhere in Montana in the winter, you should check road conditions. It’s actually not as bad as some parts as Sanders County is kind of the Banana Belt of Montana. By the way, we drilled a new well last year but still haul our drinking water from The Drip, we got spoiled.

This spring was excellent and very easy to find. Nice and Tasty water from continuous flow.

I think the directions are backward however as this spring was on the south east side of Paradise. I came in from St. Regis, MT on HWY 135, Turned left/west on HWY 200 towards Paradise (Signs point to Thompson Falls which is past Paradise & Plains) and up the road on the left just before bridge over Clark Fork into Paradise was the generous turnout with the big barn on the right.

This is the BEST tasting water I’ve ever had. We would drive out of our way to fill our bottles with it.

I drove by this spring on my was from Sun Valley to Sandpoint ID. It was really lovely and fresh. We need to find and document more springs in Idaho because I know there must be lots and lots but they are not marked.

My husband and I stopped by this spring on 6/11/2017. The water was flowing at a fast rate and the area was nice and clean. I filled up my water bottle with this fresh, tasty spring water and plan on bringing our big water jugs back to fill them up! I don’t know if I just didn’t notice it before (been by the spring dozens of times) but there is a sign behind it that says “Not an approved public water source – Drink at your own risk.” If you want the best water ever, it’s worth the “risk” 😉
