This is not a spring. It is part of the Town of Alton water supply. I checked with the Alton Water Works.

  2. Rickandben says:

The Winnipesaukee Spring is actually town water, provided by the Town of Alton. It is turned off in the winter. It is still excellent well water, but may contain some chlorine or buffers, mandated by the EPA. Rick

  3. Beth says:

This is not open year round, the town closes it when the weather turns freezing and reopens in spring.
