Does anyone collect from this well? How do you store it and how long can it stay on shelf inside?

  2. Dlsnow says:

I get my water there. I go every few weeks, I store only about 10 Gallons in glass. it definitely still tastes good even after a few weeks stored. I have not had it tested but I do see others getting water here frequently.

I drink from this well all the time – Great water! I’ve had many conversations with people filling up at the spring. One older gentleman said he had been going there since he was kid. I met a family that travels from Kalamazoo every week to fill up to avoid drinking the city water.

A local told me that the spring on the west side of the road was closed because raccoons ended up trapped in the well and died – contaminating the it.

We come from Plainwell. I have a mineral and electrolyte deficiency was spending $140 a month for replacement and drinking this water for less than one week has removed that from my budget feeling fantastic drinking live living Water. No smell at all. No rusty iron looking. Just good ol well water

  4. I could swear this is the same well we gathered water from last fall but the smell was so bad the kids wouldn’t drink it. I thought it was just iron bacteria so I left the water containers exposed to the open air overnight and the smell went away. But I’m not sure that’s all it was because when I ran it thru a general home test kit, there were definite results showing within the first 1-2 hrs. No chlorine, flouride and I don’t think it was nitrites or nitrates. Not sure exactly what as the test was a combo and not specific.

I went to this well last night. little bit of iron smell but taste pretty good juice from the earth. GPS location is below.

    N 42º 08.951′
    W 86º 15.714′

  6. Fischer says:

    As of now:
    Temperature: 56 degrees F.
    TDS: 275

Taste is good and there was a local family that said they’ve filled up there every day for several decades.

  7. Indigenous Farms says:

1/29/18 collected 15 gallons at the rest stop. tested at 7.5 pH and 600ppm! has strong mineral smell and earthy flavor. Bring a garbage bag with you to pick up the abundance of trash left behind by humans.

  8. Jason says:

Found it at the rest stop. Not the point on the map. Deffinatly has a metallic taste tho.
