  2. Daboojj says:

I wonder about this spring.. it’s in Amish country, thus AGRICULTURE territory.. there has GOT to be some form of “run off” from the farming, manore, and pesticides…

  3. sway61 says:

Once you park by the old wall, where is the spring?

  4. Lumberjak1984 says:

This spring is Beautiful!! High flow crisp spring tasting water. I rated it today at Ph. 6.41 temp 71 ppm 175. Highly recommend it. I’ve been to many springs

  5. derek says:

this was flowing at a high rate today….
if you have facebook here is a link to the video i took

  6. Localyokal says:

My husband found it yesterday.  He said it was flowing freely. He ran into a local filling up his water bottle. The man told him he drinks it all the time.

He brought home a jug — it is cold, crystal clear, and delicious!  No noticible smell or taste, just tastes like what you would expect pure, fresh living water to taste like!

  8. kevinsthirsty says:

    is this spring currently flowing?

  9. Andy says:

I was there on 1/30/2013. Flow was strong! My first time there since the one I usually go to in Adamstown supposedly closed at the end of 2012.

  10. Tabcedes says:

    It is flowing.

  11. Carol says:

Any current information about this spring? Is it flowing or not? Thanks!

  12. Whipple says:

I was there today. The flow was on.

It’s a fine spring in a decent country.

  13. Andi says:

Visited the spring today. It was full flowing! Enjoy

  14. Yidi Bruck says:

Was there Friday, great flow, really fast. Water tastes great, though has a little metallic taste, also some particles you can see in the jug. But overall great water, thanks for the website. Thank G-D for mother nature!

  15. Andi says:

Yesterday was blessed to bring 10 gallons of spring water home from this spring. Filled 5 gallons within seconds.

  16. Dennis says:

Moved to this area 3 weeks ago. Water is flowing strong. Wondering if it gets tested from time to time? Taste great.

  17. charlie says:

We filled up a jug Memorial Day 2014 and the water tastes great. Would like to know how it tests out for purity and ingredients.

  18. Amy says:

Filled my bottles yesterday, great flow. Wondering about TDS, PH and bacteria ….. heard today that spring has high bacteria content. Has anyone tested lately? I may bring water sample to lab for testing. It would be nice to know what we’re drinking!

  19. Jared says:

Filled up a glass jug today. Measured 50 TDS, but couldn’t get an accurate PH level. Using the glass jug as a magnify glass you could barely make out a very very few dust like size particles. Taste great, and is far enough up the hill range that I wouldn’t be to worried about Amish farm runoff.

  20. Dennis says:

Amy, please let us know if you tested the water. Thank you if you took the time to do so. It is greatly appreciated. I have been drinking only this water for 7 months and feel fine as far as bacteria content is concerned. I see in the heading of this web site it shows the location of the spring on the right side going north. It is in fact on the left. Thanks to all who post here for informing others, blessings to all.

  21. Amy says:

Hi Dennis, Jim and those who are using this spring for their water needs …… I had water tested 10/8 for bacteria and PH. COLIFORM BACTERIA IS PRESENT IN WATER! PH is 5. So sad to report this news! I will have the results for other bacteria in water early next week.

  22. Amy says:

Can anyone help me locate a spring in chester county?

    • Dennis says:

Well, I looked up coliform found in drinking water and it seems that we should not be drinking it. Boiling water first is recommended. There is a store near by that sells a gallon for 25 cents. Yoders is on rt. 23 and I go shopping there anyway. Thank you Amy for posting results. I wonder if this result is permanent?

  23. Amy says:

It was recommended by Cedar Grove Environmental to have water tested periodically, perhaps in 3 months, retest. Yes, I agree, someone should post coliform alert at spring. I noticed there is a new spring listed in Coatesville on Hibernia Road. I will have water tested and post results.

  24. Becktron says:

That’s a shame about the coliform, I haven’t visited this spring lately because I am so in love with the MiddleCreek Spring in Denver, PA. It’s worth the drive! The Hibernia Road, Coatesville Spring is in someones front yard with no pull off, anyone know if the owner allows for public use?

  25. Sarn says:

Oh such a disappointment. I ran into an amish fellow today while harvesting water from here, we get 30-40gals at a time, have been for over a year, and he’s the one who told me about possible bacteria present; then I came here to look, and low and behold. For now we’ll filter it through our AquaRain until it’s gone.

Thank you AMY for giving out this info, and also can you please let me know if you found out anything about the coatesville spring’s quality? As this is even closer for us.
If not we’re going to Denver or Barto spring -the Barto one looks very good based off the comments! Looking forward to trying it.

    • Dennis says:

Hi everyone, I have been drinking RO water, and find that it does not have minerals that we need to properly hydrate. I would love to return to this spring. I would like to know if it is free of chloroform. It is the only spring close enough to be worth the trip. Thanks

      • Dennis says:

Well, It’s almost a year since I last posted here and no-one else has said or updated anything about the water from this spring. I am continuing to drink Yoder’s RO water and eating fruits, vegetables, and juice to get the striped minerals from this water. I think the possibility of lead and nitrates in all other water may be prohibitive to switch to. I hope more folks would post here as to their choice of drinking water, and any new info. on this spring.

  26. David says:

The spring stop when i was there September 1 and wondering why it stop I’ve been going here for years ever other week to fill my jugs now stop

  27. Timothy says:

I have been by the spring twice in past few weeks. It is not producing any water that I can see. Maybe I’m missing something, but I’ve gotta find a new spring I think.

  28. Mark says:

Does anyone know if this spring has been tested recently for coliform recently?

  29. Dennis T says:

The spring has been dry since the fall of 2015. I stopped by there just a few weeks ago and it is still dry. Too bad. Springs are getting harder to find.

  30. Sandra D says:

This spring has recently been closed off like about 4-5 days ago , I live right by it. Trying to find out why, was it very popular.

  31. Caron says:

This spring has been flowing all spring and summer, except it had been blocked off (zero flow) yesterday – Aug 21, 2016 – I understand the owners of the land up on the hill sometimes block it off when doing construction, so that the water doesn’t come out churned up – I don’t know if that’s the reason this time, and I’d like to know how long it’ll be unavailable – the water tastes wonderful – I went home thirsty and a little sad!

      Hi Spring Seekers!

Sorry to say we don’t have any better info than you at the moment. We’re based in Vancouver BC for the time being, so we rely heavily on you users to help us and the community keep things updated.

We can try and help however you think we can from afar!

  32. Dennis says:

Could be a blessing that no water from this spring. It was found to be contaminated at one time. See earlier post. Thanks to all who come here to communicate. Hope I will find this spring healthy to drink again one day soon.

  33. susan says:

Water has not been running for weeks now. I drive past it almost everyday.

    • Christina says:

Spring has been running again for over a year but after yesterdays fill – I noticed debris floating in the water. Is not noticeable at first. I did notice the water looking a little gray as it filled my bottles yesterday. You may want to run it through a filter but I don’t have any so I won’t be drinking. I’ll try again soon.

  34. Marquis says:

Any new updates on this spring? Is it flowing?

  35. Eric says:

Any updates on this spring? Looks like a while since last posting activity, but I’ve been getting water here for about a year. Went a week ago and it was flowing fast – went today and it was not running.

  36. Sam says:

It is back up a running. Also, I added a new picture. The area around the spring has been cleaned up and the access is much easier now.
