I mean no disrespect, but this is not a spring. It is a seep that creek water flows from. My husband and I drank form it for a couple of months (daily) before discovering it's source of free flowing water about 100 ft up the trail – ah, ha! A STREAM! The stream is covered by concrete and the concrete is disguised by leaves and dirt. However we have found many true mountainside springs all through the area, especially in Asheville and Highlands. :o)
Please consider posting those springs. I am in the area and don’t see any springs posted in Highlands, and only a few in Asheville.
Thank you!
I live in Highlands and would love to know where I can get Spring Water.
Absolutely correct. Surface water for quite a ways at best. Ultimately comes from a spring I’m sure but you should use (without treating) spring water ONLY when you can see it coming directly out of the ground.
I have drank from it for 25 years, yummy! No complaints, here.
Where in Asheville are there springs?
Good morning????
The springs that you have found
What highway is it on.????
Thank you in advance.????????????
where did you get that jedi poncho?
I loaded up 20 gal. here today. I live about 90 miles away so its a bit of a haul. my tds meter gave me a 4ppm my ph meter gave me a reading of 6.2ph. it tasted great and it was nice and cold. I think ill be coming back here again.
I’ve heard there are at least 3 to 4 springs in Highlands, but I only know of one location. From downtown Highlands, make a right on Mirror Lake Road, go across the bridge, then stay to the right on Hicks Road, then make left on Billy Cabin Road (it’s a one lane dirt road). Go about 3/4 mile uphill on Billy Cabin Road. Look for an old red doghouse structure with pipe coming out of it. Runs continuously. Clean mountain water.
Can you make a separate listing for this Spring you speak of, SARA?
