Blackwood Mineral Springs are situated on the banks of the Lerderderg River. There is a Soda Spring on the car park side of the river, while another mineral spring is situated directly on the other side of the river, accessed via a footbridge. The mineral spring is the starting point for walking tracks that will take visitors to Shaws Lake via Sweet’s Lookout. Shaws Lake is also accessible via a short drive.

Went to this spring on 12/08/2018. Mineral Spring has slow constant drizzle. Takes about 20-30 minutes to fill 50 litres. Soda Spring was out of order.

Water tastes a bit metallic, however this could be due to it having high trace minerals like iron, manganese, zinc, and copper giving it an unwanted hint of metal. Another reason water may have a metallic taste is because of low pH (potential Hydrogen) levels.

A dash of lemon and it tastes great!
