About You

Nemea Spring is a private spring on private property located in Taos, New Mexico, USA.

Nemea water is pure, living, raw, unfiltered Rocky Mountain mineral spring water and we are most pleased to share freely starting in July 2023.  We will have a small pipe accessible roadside – feel free to fill containers.  It runs while we are watering plants and crops.  The pond in the cover photo is where the roadside water comes from.  Please be respectful of the sacred space and resource, and give thanks for the blessing shared.  In a world that’s burning up around us, we share this magical balm, this source of life, this gift from the gods, so that all might benefit from the sacred ojo in hallowed ground.

Please note that Nemea spring water is not intended or approved for human consumption.

Please offer a prayer as you fill your containers, and treat the Nemea space as you would any shrine or holy space.  Thank you in advance for showing reverence to the water and respect to its servants who enable this sharing freely with all humanity.

Nemea Location:  There’s only ever one opportunity to discover a treasure and that feeling is sublime.  We want to share the feeling of wonder and discovery, so we are leaving it to the community to locate and share the location.  This website encourages social connections, so “ready, set, go” – help each other locate the spring in the general area you see on this site’s map, post it here, and share with friends – the Nemea community starts right here, with you.

Nemea spring water tests demonstrate high mineral content, high electrical conductivity, high oxygen, slightly alkaline, “extremely low” E. coli, and no nitrate/ite contamination.  Truly a pure gift and blessing form the gods – a gift we feel compelled to share freely.

Please access the link below for water test results.  While Nemea water tests extremely pure, the spring ponds have fishes and frogs and birdies (ducks, herons, etc) and dragonflies and crawdads and other wildlife living (and pooping) in and around them – the springs are part of a vibrant, thriving, healthy riparian oasis ecosystem.  We therefore officially recommend that you purify and sterilize Nemea water before use.
