Happy Hollow is not the only cold springs in Hot Springs National Park! Ever hear of Whittington? Well, now you have.

  2. Ricky Tripp says:

Bonnie is right. A double spigot, brick enclosed jug fountain is located on the eastbound part of the Whittington loop, right in front of the Park Maintenance building. It’s a quick five minute drive heading west from Central Ave. and the Happy Hollow spring.

Whittington is a one way loop with park like areas between the west and eastbound lanes. Drive until the street comes to the Weyerhaeuser building, turn back to the left at the stop sign and the brick jug fountains (inside the enclosure) can be found a few blocks east at curbside. The water is delicious, and many of the numerous nearby residences there use it constantly.

The Whittington spring flows from West Mountain and is treated before reaching the two spigots provided
